Farnborough MS Support and Therapy Group

Our weekly meetings offer us the opportunity to meet others in the same position as ourselves for a coffee and a chat.
Having others to talk with who have been through the same experience can be very helpful and we're glad to be able to offer this support.
We recognise, from personal experience, the difficulties facing someone who has just been given a diagnosis of MS.  It's a most difficult time, especially if one's doctor has not had the time to explain much or answer questions.
We have monthly sessions of yoga exercises (seated). These are optional, but many of us find them very enjoyable and beneficial.
Our yoga teachers have experience of working with people with MS and understand our varying needs and limitations.
We sometimes have quizzes, games or an activity suggested by one of us. We also have the occasional talk, which may or may not be MS-related.
Around three times a year we have lunch out at a nearby pub or garden centre. We go out for a Christmas lunch.
A few times a year we go to a show at the New Victoria Theatre in Woking on a Wednesday afternoon.

We have some lovely volunteer helpers for our meetings and this help includes providing lunch for the members. We'd also like to hear from volunteers who have time to spare on a Thursday morning/lunchtime.
